Fees & Times
From September 2019, there are 2 different pricing plans for after school child care. These changes were brought in to match the new after school activity program that d’Auvergne School introduced from September 2019. The session times, costs, discounts and booking conditions all match the new structure of d’Auvergne School. Please click here for our ‘Session Times & Costs’ for the after school club.
The Tamariki Club sessions start from 3pm; up to 3pm, d’Auvergne School are responsible for the care of your child.

Medication
We are not able to administer any non-prescription medication including Calpol and Piriton.
In the event of a child requiring prescribed medication, parents must give written permission for it to be administered. You should be specific in terms of the name of the medication, dosage, frequency and storage. All medication must be in the original packaging and include the pharmacist’s/GP’s prescription label, this includes asthma inhalers.
Tax Certificates
As the after school club is NOT registered with the Childcare & Early Years Service (CEYS), we are unable to provide tax certificates for childcare fees paid during the year (we are able to for the holiday club). With a 2-hour maximum booking time, there is no requirement for formal registration of the after school club, although it is important to note that all staff have a current police check and have been vetted for their suitability in working with children.
Personal Property
All personal property is the participants’ responsibility, unless loss or damage is proven to be due to The Tamariki Club’s negligence. Expensive and/or treasured items should not be brought to The Tamariki Club.
Meals and Snacks
Children are provided with a light healthy snack, but you are welcome to provide your child with their own refreshments. Please note that The Tamariki Club is a NUTFREE ZONE and any nut-based products brought into the premises will be confiscated and returned to parents at the end of the session.
During the Covid-19 pandemic period, The Tamariki Club will not be able to provide any snacks to the children, this is to reduce the risk of cross-contamination at this time. Parents should ensure that their child has an extra snacks for their time at the after school club.
Travel off Island during the Coronavirus Pandemic
If parents and/or children are travelling back into Jersey, you must make yourself aware of the current Government procedures with regards to testing and/or self-isolation.
Until border test results have been received, or the required self-isolation period has passed, parents must not bring their child into Tamariki.
Parents will be required to provide evidence that they, and/or their child, have received their test result, before their child is able to attend Tamariki. Ideally this evidence should be provided to The Tamariki Club the day before the child is due to start, to allow time for the club to sight the documentation. You can send a screenshot of your text to info@tamarikiclub.com, or to our Facebook page via the private messenger function, or you can forward the text to 07829 886611 stating clearly who the text relates to. Test results for all members of the child’s household that were off Island with them must be submitted to Tamariki before the child is able to attend.
Once this has been received, then The Tamariki Club will confirm that the child is able to attend the club.
If you have chosen to self-isolate instead of the testing option, you will need to provide a copy of your inbound flight ticket which shows the date of your arrival back in to Jersey; the self-isolation period is currently set as a 14-days.
We would highly recommend that you have alternative childcare cover organised to cover the period from arriving in to Jersey, and waiting for your test results to be received.
It is the responsibility of all parents to inform The Tamariki Club if they have been off Island anytime in the previous month before their child is due to start at Tamariki, or, if they are planning to go off Island and then intend to bring their child in to the club after. We would prefer that we have this information ahead of time, so that we can ensure parents fully understand what they need to do on their return.
If it comes to light after a child has started their attendance at the after school club, that their family has been off Island recently, and this hasn’t been disclosed to The Tamariki Club before the child’s attendance started, then The Tamariki Club will contact the parents who will be required to collect their child immediately from The Tamariki Club. The child will be isolated at the club in a safe area, until the parent’s arrival. Evidence will need to be provided of either testing or self-isolation, before the child is able to return to the after school club, as per these Terms & Conditions.
Session Changes or Cancellations by The Tamariki Club
The Tamariki Club reserves the right to change session specifications wherever necessary. A full refund will be provided in the unlikely event of the session being cancelled by The Tamariki Club.
Where there has been an official announcement of the closure of the school due to adverse weather conditions or any other reason other than the Coronavirus, either by the Education Department, or by d’Auvergne School itself, or any other authoritative body, The Tamariki Club will not be liable to reimburse fees for that particular session (or sessions).
Session Changes – During the Coronavirus Pandemic
If the Government of Jersey, or the Track & Trace Team, or any other relevant authoritative body, deem it necessary for any child attending to self-isolate due to Coronavirus (whether that is an individual, small group, or the entire club attendance), or the club is closed down due to ‘Stay at Home’ orders (‘lockdown’) or similar, then The Tamariki Club will not be liable for a refund of fees, or credit of fees to accounts, and will instead apply our usual minimum 7 days’ notice cancellation policy.
This means, that we will treat the required self-isolation of any children, or the forced closure of the club, with 7 days’ notice conditions on all relevant bookings, and parents will receive a credit to their account for any fees paid past the 7 days period. This credit will be available to use for any future booking, either for the after school club or the holiday club; there will be no cash refunds issued as an alternative to the credit refund to your account.
Insurance
All participants are covered by Public Liability Insurance whilst at The Tamariki Club, however The Tamariki Club cannot be held responsible for any act, omission or loss or damage unless proven to be caused specifically by the club’s negligence.
First Aid
There will always be at least one Certified Appointed First Aider at each session. In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered to participants in our care and if necessary, the emergency services will be called.
Exclusion after Sickness
If your child is unwell at home with vomiting and/or diarrhoea, they should be kept at home for a minimum of 48 hours following the last episode of illness. If they are sick and/or have diarrhoea at the club, there must be a minimum period of 48 hours following the last episode before they return to the club. We ask that your child must be well enough to eat a normal diet when they return.
Exclusion after Sickness – During the Coronavirus Pandemic
If your child or any member of your household shows symptoms of the Coronavirus at home, do not bring them in to Tamariki. You should immediately contact the Coronavirus Helpline for advice, and contact The Tamariki Club as soon as possible after this to let them know the outcome of this conversation.
If your child has been sent home from Tamariki with suspected symptoms of the Coronavirus, then you must:
- Immediately isolate yourself and your household.
- Call the Coronavirus Helpline (tel. 01534-445566).
- Follow the advice of the helpline, and as soon as possible, advise The Tamariki Club of the outcome of the discussion with the helpline.
- You will need to allow a minimum of 48 hours being symptom free, before the child is allowed to return to Tamariki again.
- If your child has had a negative test result, then they must still wait 48 hours after the test result has been received before their child returns to Tamariki.
Departure
Each participant must be signed out at the end of each session and the time noted on collection. It is the responsibility of parents/ guardians/ authorised person to ensure they always comply with these procedures.

If any behaviour at The Tamariki Club is considered inappropriate, the offending pupil or pupils will be given a clear warning. If the behaviour persists, the child or children will be removed from the activity.
If a pupil continues to ignore the staff member and is considered to be affecting the equilibrium of the whole session, then a parent will be called and the pupil asked to leave, and/or will have to miss the next session they are due in.
