Making a Booking
Booking requests are submitted using the online booking form on The Tamariki Club’s webpage. Responsibility for the details of bookings and payment lies with the person making the initial booking. If the session you require is fully booked, you will be placed on a waiting list. In the event of a space becoming available, The Tamariki Club will contact you.
7 days’ notice is required for cancellation and refund of a confirmed place at all sessions. No refund will be given with less than 7 days’ notice - this also applies to sickness.
If your child is absent from school and is due to attend The De La Salle After School Club, you must advise The Tamariki Club as soon as possible, either by phone, text or email.
Payment
All accounts must be paid in full and in advance for the participant to attend a session. Our online banking details are located on the lower section of your invoice for organising your payments. You will be emailed your account in advance for each term block. Payment can be made either weekly, monthly or in full – if paying weekly or monthly, all due dates are listed clearly on the invoice.
If paying online, please state your invoice number in the reference box.
Our internet banking details are as follows:

Late Pick-Up Charge
Children must be collected latest by the end of your session, i.e. 5.30pm. If a child is collected late and after their allocated session time, then a £20 late pick-up fee will be added to your account for that day to cover the extra costs incurred for 2 staff working overtime.
Medication
We are not able to administer any non-prescription medication including Calpol and Piriton.
In the event of a child requiring prescribed medication, parents must give written permission for it to be administered. You should be specific in terms of the name of the medication, dosage, frequency and storage. All medication must be in the original packaging and include the pharmacist’s/GP’s prescription label, this includes asthma inhalers.
Tax Certificates
As The De La Salle After School Club is registered with the Childcare & Early Years Services (CEYS), we are able to provide tax certificates for child care fees paid during the year. Please email to let us know if you require a tax certificate.
Personal Property
All personal property is the participants’ responsibility, unless loss or damage is proven to be due to The Tamariki Club’s negligence. Expensive and/or treasured items should not be brought to the club.
Meals and Snacks
Children are offered a light healthy snack, but you are welcome to provide your child with their own refreshments. Please note that The Tamariki Club is a NUTFREE ZONE and any nut-based products brought onto the premises will be confiscated and returned to parents at the end of the session.
Session Changes or Cancellations by The Tamariki Club
The Tamariki Club reserves the right to change session specifications wherever necessary. A full refund will be provided in the unlikely event of the session being cancelled by The Tamariki Club.
Where there has been an official announcement of the closure of the school due to adverse weather conditions or any other reason e.g. school strikes, either by the Education Department, or by De La Salle Primary School itself, or any other authoritative body, The Tamariki Club will not be liable to reimburse fees for that particular session (or sessions).
Insurance
All participants are covered by Public Liability Insurance whilst at the clubs, however The Tamariki Club cannot be held responsible for any act, omission or loss or damage unless proven to be caused specifically by the club’s negligence.
First Aid
There will always be at least one Certified Appointed First Aider at each session. In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered to participants in our care and, if necessary, the emergency services will be called.
Parents should ensure that they keep The Tamariki Club informed of any changes to their child’s medical information we hold on file, so that we have the most up-to-date information should we need to liaise with the emergency services.
Exclusion after Sickness
If your child is unwell at home with sickness and/or diarrhea, they should be kept at home for a minimum of 48 hours following the last episode of illness. If they are sick and/or have diarrhea at the club, there must be a minimum period of 48 hours following the last episode before they return to the club. We ask that your child must be well enough to eat a normal diet when they return.
Departure
Each participant will be signed out at the end of each session, by a member of Tamariki staff at the check-out area. Please make sure that your child has been signed out before you take them home. Occasionally there can be a little bit of a wait at busy times, so it is important that the staff member have noted you are here and that your child is signed out correctly. We appreciate your patience at these busy times.
The waiting area for parents at pick up is outside of the building, no parents are allowed to enter the building.
Photography
During sessions, photographs may be taken of participants during course activities. These images may be used for publicity purposes in an image, on video, on our website, in printed publications or on our Facebook page. If you do not wish your child’s image to be used please indicate on the booking form.
Equal Opportunities
We consider language, behaviour or action that is designed to be offensive or creates discrimination to any user of the clubs or member of staff, unacceptable and will not be tolerated. If any behaviour at the club is considered inappropriate, the offending pupil or pupils will be given a clear warning. If the behaviour persists, the child or children will be removed from the activity.
If a pupil continues to ignore the staff member and is considered to be affecting the equilibrium of the whole session, then a parent will be called and the pupil asked to leave, and/or will have to miss the next session they are due in.
The Tamariki Club has a clear behaviour policy that the staff follow to deal with any behaviour concerns. This is a 3-step approach, which involves talking with the child to discuss what has happened, any safety concerns, and what is a more appropriate way of behaving in the particular situation. This 3 step approach is easy for the children to understand, provides consistency across all staff and children, and is a positive approach where the child and staff member work together to improve the situation and provide some learning for the child.
